NSE Nifty 50 

The NIFTY 50 is a benchmark Indian stock market index that represents the weighted average of 50 of the largest Indian companies listed on the National Stock Exchange. Since 1996, the Nifty 50 represents India’s top 50 blue-chip companies across various sectors. The weight of each stock in the index is based on its free-float market capitalization. The index is reviewed on a semi-annual basis in March and September using 6-month average data as of January 31, and July 31 respectively.
